Like a foreman at a construction site, they build roads, housing for workers (man camps), assemble drilling rigs, and oversee the drilling itself, especially in remote locations. I have to start by saying that I am a huge fan of everything Taylor Sheridan does (Yellowstone, The Mayor of Kingstown, 1923, 1883, Tulsa King, The Lion, Sicario, He or Highwater, Wind River, etc.).

This is another hit for Sheridan

. He hits home runs one after another and Landman is no exception.

I recommend it to anyone looking for a good new series, especially if you are a Taylor Sheridan fan

Landman is set in present-day Texas, where everyone from billionaires to ruffians are trying to get rich off the oil industry. The series follows Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) as he tries to get his company up and running during the oil boom.

The town set was built specifically for the series in North Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia.The site, known as the Beaver Bank Villa has a long history, and many years ago contained housing units, a community hall, fire station, school, church, convenience store, etc. (all demolished by 2004) to support the workers of a nearby military radar base which operated in the 1950's and 1960's. The paved streets and driveways were all that remained, and the fake town was built on them..

Can't wait for the third season to come out

Way better than I thought it would be based on some of the negative reviews on here. So good that I binged the first two seasons during a long weekend. Great premise for a show with some similarities to shows like Lost and Wayward Pines, but different enough that it didn't feel like I was watching the same show.

Very enjoyable and fun watch

I definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys horror/mystery type shows with some gore. I just hope it gets more seasons, or at least enough so we get answers to all of the questions I still have. One of the best shows I've seen in awhile.

Four kids make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads them to become lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. The holographic circus that entertains Neel’s little siblings is the same one Chewbacca’s family watches in the infamous The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978).

The kids are basically kids

Featured in AniMat’s Crazy Cartoon Cast: Silly Old Deadly Bear (2022). I’ve seen the first two episodes and I think it’s pretty good.

Boys and girls arguing, etc

But is it just me or is this a reminder of Star Trek Voyager but with kids? Think about it, they’re trying to get home and they have no way to get there.

I’ve never seen the other series most people are referring to

They’re probably on the other side of the galaxy and will probably have to travel at some point to get home. But anyway, if this continues into a second season because they haven’t gotten home, I’m calling it “Kid Star Trek Voyager.” That’s the only reason it doesn’t have eight stars.
